Puffed Amaranth

Puffed Amaranth is made from the seed of the amaranth plant. It is a nutritious, gluten-free product high in quality protein, dietary fiber, polyunsaturates, Omega 3 fatty acids and a variety of vitamins and minerals including iron and calcium. Puffed Amaranth is a uniformly puffed white seed, 1/16” in diameter, likened to a micro-popcorn which maintains its identity through typical processing.

Puffed Amaranth has a unique, mild-toasted flavor and “soft crunch” texture that adds character, essential fiber, protein and vitamins to variety breads, cookies, cereals, stuffing, snacks and breading. It is a natural additive, which gives foods a distinctive, nutty, slightly toasty, sweet flavor and also enhances the natural goodness of other ingredients through synergistic effects
