How To Pop the Amaranth Seed
The Good Food Book, by Jane Brody, contains instructions for poppong the amaranth seed. She says to heat a heavy skillet or wok until it is very hot, then add one table spoon of amaranth seed. Stir the seed immediately and continue stiring until most of the amaranth has popped. Pour them into a bowl or they will burn in the pan.
You can repeat the above procedures until you have as much popped amaranth as you want.
Some of the amaranth seeds will not pop. These are still edible. If you try to pop with too much seed most of them will burn befor they pop.
